1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MaestroRecruit ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all users globally, regardless of location.
2. Description of Service
MaestroRecruit is a recruitment platform that connects job seekers ("Candidates") with verified recruitment companies and employers ("Recruiters"). Our services include:
- CV / Resume upload, AI-assisted data extraction, and profile creation for Candidates
- Optional profile visibility so Candidates can be discovered by all verified Recruiters on the Platform
- Job posting and candidate search tools for Recruiters
- A credit-based system for Recruiters to reveal full Candidate contact details
- AI-generated Career Reports and formatted CVs for Candidates
- Job matching, application tracking, and communication between Candidates and Recruiters
3. User Accounts
3.1 General
To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
3.2 Candidate Accounts
Candidates may create a free account to build a profile, upload a CV / Resume, apply for jobs, and optionally make their profile searchable by all verified Recruiters on the Platform.
3.3 Recruiter Accounts
Recruiters must register on behalf of a company and complete the company verification process (see Section 5) before gaining full access to the Platform's recruitment features, including posting jobs and searching for Candidates.
4. Candidate Profile Visibility and Consent
4.1 Opt-In Profile Searchability
Candidates may choose to make their profile searchable by all verified Recruiters on the Platform by enabling the "Make my profile searchable by all recruitment companies" option in their profile settings. This is entirely voluntary and opt-in.
- When enabled: Your profile summary, skills, experience, and qualifications will be visible to verified Recruiters searching for candidates. However, your full contact details (such as email address and phone number) will remain hidden until a Recruiter chooses to reveal your profile using credits (see Section 6).
- When disabled: Your profile will not appear in Recruiter search results. You may still apply directly to job postings.
- Control: You may enable or disable profile searchability at any time through your profile settings. Changes take effect immediately.
4.2 Job Applications
When you apply for a specific job posting, your profile and CV / Resume data will be shared with the hiring company for that position, regardless of your searchability setting.
4.3 AI Processing
Your CV / Resume and profile data may be processed using artificial intelligence to extract relevant information, match you with suitable positions, and improve our services.
5. Company Verification
5.1 Verification Requirement
All recruitment companies must complete a verification process before being approved to use the Platform. This ensures the safety and integrity of the Platform for all users, particularly Candidates.
5.2 Required Documentation
Companies must submit the following compliance documents for review:
- Company Registration Document: Proof of legal business registration
- Proof of Address: A document confirming the company's physical business address
- Administrator Identification: Valid identification of the company administrator registering on the Platform
5.3 Review Process
Submitted documents are reviewed by our administration team. Companies will remain in a "pending verification" status until their documents have been reviewed and approved. During this period, companies cannot post jobs or search for candidates.
5.4 Approval, Rejection, and Suspension
- Approval: Once verified, the company gains full access to the Platform's recruitment features.
- Rejection: If documents are insufficient or fraudulent, the company's application will be rejected with a reason provided. The company may resubmit corrected documents.
- Suspension: Verified companies may be suspended at any time if they violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if new information calls their legitimacy into question. Suspended companies lose access to all recruitment features.
6. Credits and Profile Reveals
6.1 Credit System
Recruiters use credits to reveal the full contact details of Candidates whose profiles appear in search results. Credits can be obtained through:
- Purchase: Credits may be purchased in packages via the Platform using our payment processor (Paystack). Pricing is set by the Platform and displayed at the time of purchase.
- Referrals: Companies may earn referral credits (up to a maximum of 6) by referring Candidates to the Platform using their unique referral code. One referral credit is awarded for every 3 referred Candidates who complete their profile.
6.2 Profile Reveals
When a Recruiter reveals a Candidate's profile, the applicable credit amount is deducted from the company's credit balance. Once revealed, the Candidate's full profile — including contact details — becomes permanently accessible to that company. Subsequent views of the same Candidate do not incur additional credit charges.
6.3 Credit Expiry and Refunds
Purchased credits may have an expiry period as indicated at the time of purchase. Credits are non-transferable between companies. Refunds for purchased credits are handled on a case-by-case basis — please contact us for refund requests.
7. Career Reports
Candidates may purchase an AI-generated Career Report and formatted CV through the Platform. Career Reports are generated based on your profile data and are available for download after payment is confirmed. Career Report pricing is displayed at the time of purchase and processed via Paystack.
8. Payments
All payments on the Platform (credit purchases and Career Reports) are processed by Paystack, a third-party payment processor. By making a purchase, you agree to Paystack's terms of service. MaestroRecruit does not store your payment card details. All payment transactions are recorded for auditing and dispute resolution purposes.
9. Data Protection and Privacy
9.1 Global Privacy Standards
We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws worldwide, including but not limited to:
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — European Union
- Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) — South Africa
- California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) — United States
- Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) — Singapore
- Other applicable local data protection regulations
9.2 POPIA Compliance (South Africa)
In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), we inform you that:
- Purpose of Processing: Your personal information is collected and processed for recruitment purposes, job matching, facilitating employment opportunities, company verification, and payment processing.
- Consent: By using this Platform and uploading your information, you provide explicit consent for the processing of your personal information as described in these terms. Candidates who enable profile searchability provide additional consent for their profile to be viewed by all verified Recruiters.
- Right to Access: You have the right to request access to your personal information held by us.
- Right to Correction: You may request correction of any inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Deletion: Subject to legal retention requirements, you may request deletion of your personal information.
- Right to Object: You may object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal requirements)
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Disable profile searchability at any time
- Data portability
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
11. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in these terms, or as required by law. When you request account deletion:
- Your profile, CV / Resume, and application data will be deleted
- Company verification documents will be deleted
- Credit and payment transaction records may be retained as required for financial compliance and audit purposes
- Minimal information may be retained for legal compliance, audit purposes, or to prevent fraud
- Anonymized data may be retained for statistical and analytical purposes
12. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information, including fraudulent verification documents
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Scrape, harvest, or collect Candidate data for purposes outside of legitimate recruitment
- Share revealed Candidate contact details with unauthorized third parties
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
13. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of MaestroSAT (Pty) Ltd or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. MaestroRecruit is a brand operated by MaestroSAT (Pty) Ltd.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MaestroRecruit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. This includes but is not limited to damages arising from hiring decisions, the accuracy of Candidate profiles, or the outcomes of the recruitment process.
15. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Platform.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which the user resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
