Who We Are
MaestroRecruit is a recruitment platform built and operated by MaestroSAT (Pty) Ltd (Registration No. 2017/125760/07), a South African technology company based in Kempton Park, Gauteng.
MaestroSAT has been building software solutions since 2017. MaestroRecruit is one of several products under the MaestroSAT umbrella, born out of a straightforward observation: the hiring process is unnecessarily painful for everyone involved. Job seekers spend hours filling in the same details on every platform. Recruiters drown in admin instead of focusing on people. We thought we could do better.
What MaestroRecruit Does
At its core, MaestroRecruit is a job board with tools that make the process less tedious for both sides.
- For job seekers — Upload your CV once. The platform reads it, builds your profile, and lets you apply to multiple roles without re-entering the same information. You can track every application in one place so nothing slips through the cracks.
- For recruiters and employers — Post jobs, manage applications, search a candidate database, and collaborate with your hiring team from a single dashboard. The platform handles the repetitive bits so you can spend your time on the conversations that actually matter.
Why We Built This
Recruitment platforms tend to fall into two camps: free boards that do the bare minimum, or enterprise systems that cost a fortune and take months to set up. We wanted something in the middle — a platform that's genuinely useful without being overcomplicated or overpriced.
We also felt strongly that the tools should work for the South African market first. That means supporting ZAR pricing, understanding local job categories, and building for the reality of how companies here actually hire. That said, the platform isn't limited to South Africa — anyone can use it.
How It Works
Job seekers register, upload a CV, and start applying. Recruiters register their company, go through a verification process, and begin posting roles. There's a credit system for job postings and candidate discovery — credits can be purchased or earned for free through referrals.
We use CV detection to extract information from uploaded documents, which saves time and reduces the friction of setting up a profile. It's not magic — you can always review and edit what gets extracted — but it means you're not typing out your entire work history from scratch.
Our Approach
We're a small team, which means we move quickly and we're close to the product. If something is broken, we fix it. If a feature doesn't make sense, we change it. We don't have layers of process between us and the people using the platform, and we prefer it that way.
We care about getting the basics right: the platform should be fast, the data should be secure, and the experience shouldn't make you want to close the tab. Everything else is secondary.
